Another Rapper disses Jesus Christ, nothing to be surprised about

Okay, I will post Jay-Z's video, the brother in Los Angelos response, and another brother's response on the LA brother's response. I agree, this should be no surprise to us that a worldly rapper speaks against the Lord Jesus. Please let not these kind of things surprise you. Love by Christ and share the Gospel, don't let these things bother you.

The Dis is about 3:05 minutes into the video.

Here's Pastor Justin's response

Here is Black Calvinist response:

as it is written: "None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one." "Their throat is an open grave; they use their tongues to deceive." "The venom of asps is under their lips." "Their mouth is full of curses and bitterness." "Their feet are swift to shed blood; in their paths are ruin and misery, and the way of peace they have not known." "There is no fear of God before their eyes."
(Romans 3:10-18 ESV)

Can we be the living epistles?

I hear it time and time again. "I witness to so and so, and invited him to church"!!! I am not against them coming to church, but have we assumed the responsibility of being Christlike to this country on the church building? I really don't think a expository sermon, or a meeting all the wonderful Christians in your Christian group is going to cause your unregenerate friend to repent (It may but it will not be by any human means: Jesus Christ saves). Now of course this is me thinking here, but church can we go and be living epistles for all to read. Can we assume the responsibility of sharing the Gospel with the United States and other countries. I'll be honest, I am tired of hearing men say who they invited to church. It makes it seem like they want the pastor, the sermon, or the other members to save their friends or ones they love. For real, I don't even tell men what church I attend when witnessing or loving them in Christ. Instead of inviting them to a group or to join a club, be the living epistle. LOVE THEM. Do good to them, even when they wrong you, and cuss you out. Go hard for the Lord Jesus Christ!!

You yourselves are our letter of recommendation, written on our hearts, to be known and read by all.
(2 Corinthians 3:2 ESV)

Prayer Request

I have been thinking a lot lately. I prayed the other day for Christ Jesus to exalt His name in my body. Low and behold I faced two times I witnessed for the Lord Jesus Christ. Both people rejected the Gospel message. One, my friend, told me I was going to hell because I don't worship the Sabbath day on Saturday. In fact seems like everyone I have spoken to Jesus Christ has rejected the Gospel message. I looked and examined myself according to God's Word, thinking it was me. As time went on I saw, no matter what I said, Jesus Christ was rejected. My wife witnesses Jesus Christ over the phone to a lady friend of hers, and asked her to say the sinners prayer (this was two years ago). Low and behold the woman was saved. I really thought I was doing something wrong then. Should I ask people to say the sinners prayer? Should I not mention the scriptures no more in conversations? Should I just love them and hug them, and they'll see Christ? All these questions came to mind. I even remembered the voice of my blogging buddy Bro Lawrence D saying "Bro, what God has called you to do, he may not have called me to do!" True, so true, but I seriously thought something must be wrong in the way I am giving God's truth.

"And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12 ESV)
"No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day. (John 6:44 ESV)

It takes the work of God's Spirit to save men. By Christ men are saved, not by me. Not by what I ask men, tell them, ask them to pray about etc etc. The Lord Jesus Christ is the One who saves, not me. I got it!

So please pray that I continue to stand bold for the Lord Jesus Christ and that I do not get caught in certain methods and ways to give the Gospel. Pray that God's will is done and that I totally decrease and let Christ Jesus do the saving. God bless you all

Jesus did it for you!!

I love the wisdom elder Christians have. They have a love for Jesus Christ us young ones need to learn from. Today, after taking communion, Ms. Lillie (an elder lady) was sitting in her seat weeping and crying. I came up and kissed her on the cheek. She said "honey, ya'll don't understand! You just get up from communion and start talking. I have to sit here and just weep because Jesus Christ did this for us. We must remember, my child!!!!" Whoaaaa!!!

And he said to them, "I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. For I tell you I will not eat it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God." And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he said, "Take this, and divide it among yourselves. For I tell you that from now on I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes." And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me." And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, "This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.

Testimony: From Empty to Filled

I got permission to post this. I praise the Lord Jesus Christ for my wife and I am thankful she allowed me to post this testimony. May the Grace of Christ be with you all:

When Melissa first asked me to share my testimony at MOPS I was a little reluctant to at first. Because I knew that I had only shared part of what Christ had done in my life & wasn’t quite sure what the Lord would have me to say, but with much prayer I’ve asked to the Lord to humble me, and to help me to be completely transparent so that he may get the glory and for him to use this testimony of what he has done in my life to bring hope to those who may be struggling and to encourage those who are walking with him. It’s been over 4 ½ years since the Lord brought me out of the darkness into his marvelous light (2 Corinthians 4:6, 1 Peter 2:9). I look back years prior to my salvation when the Lord was doing just that drawing me.

I had grown up in church pretty much my whole life. Did the normal activities, sung on the choir& all of that but I didn’t know the Lord and was lost in my sin. Karsten my husband went to the same church for many years as well. We didn’t pay much attention to one another back then. Once I got older I told my mom I didn’t want to go to church anymore because it didn’t serve any purpose in my life. From time to time she would make me go but eventually I stopped going all together. The summer before I went to high school changed my life dramatically. I lost my virginity at the young age of 14 that summer to my boyfriend at the time, who told me he loved me and if I loved him …. Well you pretty much no the rest. From that point I became very promiscuous. I loved the attention I was getting from the boys… so I thought. I spent many days in high school in tears because of the choices I was making. But God is faithful. When I came to my senior year in high school I met a girl in my computer class. Everyone knew her as the girl who like’s girls. And we became friends. She would make passes at me just like the guys would and at first I thought it was funny and quite weird because I never had even thought of women in that way at all, but then I thought why not try it out. But God is faithful. We ended up establishing a relationship with one another that became quite serious. Never in a million years could I have imagined that I would be in a relationship with a girl and quite frankly neither could my parents it wasn’t me. It just shows how crafty satan is and how he prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour as is stated in 1 Peter 5:8. I just wanted to be loved and it didn’t matter by who. When my dad heard of this he went ballistic and threw me out of the house, I was 18 years old. But God is faithful. I moved in with my grandparents for the time being. I still was in a relationship with the girl at this time. I was convinced we were in love. I ended up spending lots of time at her house but not because of her but because of her parents. It turned out that they were Christians. Again I say but God is faithful. They laid down the law to us about the rules in their house & shared how they loved us but not our sin & how God was not pleased with our sin but loved us. I was very drawn to them and the love they showed towards me. Remember I had heard about Jesus my whole life but never had I seen him lived out. My relationship with this girl went on even still. But God is faithful. She went away to the Army and our so called relationship went down hill. I cheated on her with some guy and she cheated on me with some girl if you want to call it all of that. Things began to get worse in my life. Through out that three year time span I had attempted suicide twice, was drunk every weekend, suffered with depression and anxiety, had broken up with this girl, got back together and broke up again. But I also heard the gospel of Jesus Christ from the girl’s mom as well. She explained to me the difference between sinning and living a lifestyle of sin. She explained to me as stated in Romans 6:23 says for the wages of sin is death, buy the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. You see in my church growing up I was always told God would forgive you no matter what you do. While that is true for the believer in Christ, who has forsaken their sin for the cross of Christ, that wasn’t yet me. But God is faithful. I moved in with a friend of mine and we partied together on the weekends and lived our lives in what people say “to the fullest”. I even thought that things were getting better seeing that I wasn’t with the girl anymore. But I was deceived once again. I was lost. The void I tried to fill with everything I could think of, but I was empty. That’s when Karsten came back into my life. I don’t remember how but we began to email each other. He had gotten saved as they called it, and he was always ready to share with me about Christ and what he had done in his life. I would ask him questions and he would answer. He invited me to a church service one night that he was worship leader at and reluctantly I went. I can’t quite remember what was preached about that night but I do remember people telling me that they had been praying for me. I also remember looking at Karsten and saying to my friends “I’m going to marry him and of course they said “yea right” but I said “I am.” I don’t know why I feel this way but I am” I told them. Little did I know at the time God had laid the same thing on Karsten’s heart at the same time! Now obviously Karsten had more to be concerned about than me at the time because I wasn’t saved yet. But God is faithful. For the next six months I continued to do my own thing living my life to the “fullest” until an incident happened that brought me to my knees. I can’t quite remember what the incident was but I was tired. So I came into my apartment and got down on my knees and cried out to God to have mercy on me. The bible says in Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Karsten invited me to a youth event at the church and I went. The pastor preached and at the end of his sermon, had all the youth to stand and said that if you are not sure that when you died you would go to heaven then remain standing. Well I was the only one still standing and I couldn’t sit down. Although I believed that God saved me in my apartment when I called on the name of Jesus and repented of my sin, I believe this was a outward profession of faith in his son. That night Karsten did a whole lot of rejoicing as he watched God fulfilling his promises. He later told me. And the rest is history.

We have been married for 4 ½ almost 5 years in August with three beautiful baby boys. I would love to tell you that coming to Christ has made my life perfect but I would be lying. But God in his grace and mercy has given me true life in Christ. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way the truth and the life; no man comes to the Father but through me. See I was trying to find life in everything but Christ; in myself and in my relationships. The spirit of God which dwells in me is now perfecting me into the image of his son Jesus Christ. The first 1 ½ of marriage was rough but God has been faithful even through that. I have learned what true love is through Christ. Scripture says in Romans 5:8 that God demonstrates his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Karsten was used by God as a vessel used to draw me Christ and for his obedience I am grateful. But truly I am thankful to God for his grace and mercy. It was not something I earned nor did I deserve but he gave it to me freely. So if you are here tonight and you are thinking why do I need Christ I have a great life, a great marriage, well behaved children and I’m just a overall good person, remember that Romans 3:10 says that there is none righteous not even one. Romans 3:23 says “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” We all are in need of a savior. No one apart from Christ can live up to God’s holy standard. And because of his holiness he had to give a consequence for our sin. And if you are here tonight and your thinking God could never forgive me, I’ve done some awful things. Remember this; I was a fornicator living in a homosexual lifestyle, a lover of self, and liar and a hater of God. And he forgave me because of Jesus Christ and his living a sinless life, dying on the cross for our sins and his being raised from the dead!! There is no sin that God can’t and won’t forgive other than the rejecting of his son altogether. When we believe in Christ and turn from our sin to his mercy and love he gives us new life in Christ we are new creations (2 Corinthians 5:17). God loves us and desires that we turn from our sin to him so that we may have eternal life through Christ. I will be eternally grateful for the cross of Christ and what it’s done for me and my hope is that if you don’t have that same hope in Christ that you would put your hope in him today. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)

Biblically responsible men!

Pastor John Coleman posted this video at a blessed time. Recently a friend from church posted on his blog a prayer request for a friend of his who was murdered in Baltimore at the beginning of the new year. This person was one of the first 3 males killed in the city in 2009. When I read the request I began to become grieved with all the sin being committed, even my own sin. Ohhh God why do we keep turning to sin and not to your ways. Although this was part one, the message below definitely gave me some things to think about. Not just because I am African American, but because I am a professing Christian. Should not the sin of this world stirr me to tell men of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is not just for you black brothers, but for all us brothers in Christ Jesus. Listen to Pastor John:

A Song of Ascents. When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy; then they said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them." The LORD has done great things for us; we are glad. Restore our fortunes, O LORD, like streams in the Negeb! Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy! He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.

Christianity Today?

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. (2 Timothy 3:5)

They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. (Titus 1:16)

I was driving in my father-in-law’s car to work searching for a station broadcasting local traffic. I flipped through several of secular Hip Hop stations to hear some of the disc jockeys poking fun at Christianity. What made it even worse was they claimed to be so-called believers themselves. From making remarks of people going to hell, to even hearing Reverend Marvin Sapp encourage Monique to keep doing what she is doing; this is what today we call Christianity? I have searched in the scriptures, and examined this type of so-called Christianity. This type of so-called Christianity is deeply rooted in American society. Sometimes these people are coined as ‘Carnal Christians’, which quiet frankly is biblically false. Whatever type of Christian we may call them, these types of people are NOT CHRISTIANS. I repeat, THEY ARE NOT CHRISTIANS!

THEY ARE NOT CHRISTIANS

Now why do you say that about these men Karsten? Glad you asked. See, I used to be one of them. I used to drink and smoke, lust after women, and then go to church on Sunday. I sang on the Gospel choir and gossiped viciously about other men/women. I did exactly what these people do, while putting on the cloak like I am going to heaven. I was on my way to hell. Now, because of the Lord Jesus Christ, I long in my soul to see them redeemed and living for the Lord Jesus Christ. I long to see them be under sanctification and applying the Doctrines of Grace in their lives. Praise God. First, I must identify who these men really are. They are not Christians.

There seems to be the confusion these men possess godliness and holiness. They say all the right clichés, and lift their hands real well in church. They come to bible studies like they are interested in talking about God and make claims of needing to go to church more. But they can be some of the meanest devils you know my friends. They smile in your face and tear you to pieces like a lion behind your back. They don’t speak to you when you say hi to them. Or they’ll boast about themselves all day long. They run the deacon board and count all the money coming into the church. They set up funds to help poor people etc. Yet they turn right around and go clubbing, get drunk every weekend, fornicate but somehow make it to church every Sunday morning. They may have some knowledge of scriptures and voice vehemently their disagreements with certain texts of the bible. They’ll say that , “God knows their heart!” Just as long as they appear to be saved, so you’ll never question their love for Jesus Christ.
The key behavior to not is they are religious on the outside but their insides are real ugly, because there is no Jesus Christ within them.

If we look at the context of 2 Timothy 3 we see Paul writing to Timothy his beloved son in the Gospel. Paul may have sensed Timothy becoming spiritual weak in his walk. This could be due to the fact that there were these types of so-called Christians lurking in the church at Ephesus. He had reason to encourage Timothy due to the fact Paul knew his work for Christ was soon to be up (2 Timothy 4:6). So to give Timothy a good explanation of the perils a man of God faces in verses 1-9 of Chapter 3, Paul explains the state of this non-Christian men we see today. Notice that Paul says “they’re men”, and not saints (v2). Now let’s look at this verses 1-9 and see if they match up with these carnal Christians I am speaking of:

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was. (2 Timothy 3:1-9)

Now look at and compare to these same descriptions fit the men well of today. They sing on Gospel stages all over the country. But if you get in their way, they’ll knock you down like a dog in the street. Hmmmm? Only one conclusion according to God’s Word, these men are not Christians.

DON’T BE DISCOURAGED

But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. (Matthew 13:25-29)
MacArthur’s Bible Commentary mentions the tare being a type of weed which could hardly be distinguished from wheat. Most likely an enemy would sow this into a man’s field destroying his livelihood catastrophically. This sounds discouraging I know. When I would see these types of so-called saints, I would think “if their not Christians, what am I?” The fact is it made me think, if they can put on a show, what am I doing? Don’t be discouraged my friends. Search and examine what true Christianity really is. Don’t look at these men as your way to Jesus Christ, but from their ways turn away. Love these men, long to see them saved and knowing the truth of Jesus Christ. To be honest, these people may lash at you but remember these words that Paul said by the mouth of God:

But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. (Romans 10:8-12)

God can save these so-called carnal believers. He can deliver them. Don’t conform to their worldly ways. Instead be transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:2). Love these men, and when you here them say the craziest things, be not afraid to tell them the truth. They’ll hate you, but Christ will love you. You keep telling them about the real Jesus Christ. Love them. I say to you again, love them. When they call you to come pick them up from the club because their too drunk to drive home. Get up and go get them. Take the time to let them know the truth of God’s Word. Explain to them who Jesus Christ really is. Let them not determine whether you are a Christian or not. No, let the word of God determine what Christianity truly is. That was the answer to defeating the apostasy that Paul explained here:

But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. (2 Timothy 3:10-17)

Am I saved?...Yes you are!

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (Ephesians 5:8)

“Am I really a Christian? Do I really show love to the Lord Jesus Christ? Am I really His child, because my life before wasn’t bad? Where’s the fruit that I am His child? Voices tell me I am going to hell. God hates me, He is done with my life. If I am Christian, why do I feel like I will end up in hell? I can’t understand the bible like brother so and so does, I couldn’t be a Christian? Why does Christ feel so far from me” – These are just some of the thoughts which have been expressed to me by different Christians I know. Yes, Christians have thought these things. This morning a wonderful Christian brother expressed to me his struggle with similar thinking. I thought to myself, “no way, this guy is definitely a Christian in his love that he shows the brethren, how could he deal with such a thing.” When I heard him speak, I wanted to tear up man because I wanted to help him not to think this way. Then, I had to be honest; I have thought that way to, thinking when I die, would I wake up in hell. What? Yeah, so I run to the scriptures and asked was their anybody in the bible that struggled with these thoughts? Yes.

History of the Church of Ephesus

The Gospel was likely brought to Ephesus by Pricilla and Aquila, who were a Spirit-filled couple (Acts 18:26), and for around three years pastored by Paul the Apostle. Also Timothy presided over this church after Paul as well. Ephesus location was at the mouth of the Cayster River and may have been well known for its temple of Artemis (one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world.) Politics, education, and big business were of importance in this area, so we can see this church probably had a lot of things going on. I feel one important aspect of Ephesus was the false teaching that lurked in this area. For example Hymenaeus and Alexander, placed some poisonous doctrine among the Ephesians’ church (1 Timothy 1:20). Because of such things, the church at Ephesus was struck with fables and worthless genealogies (1 Timothy 1:4), beyond-the-bible ideas of forbidding foods (1 Timothy 4:3) and bold statements made because of erring in understanding scripture. These things caused disputes and most likely hindered the faith of some of the Christians there at Ephesus. And this dealing with the false teachers carried on as we see Jesus Christ speak of Ephesus returning to their first love (Revelation 2:1-7).
All the garbage teaching probably brought some of the believers to question their salvation, hence why Paul in Chapter 5 alluded to the Ephesians former walk. Was there Christian church who struggled with salvation? Yes, the church of Ephesus was one of them (Check out 1 John 1 – 5 as well, because John resided in Ephesus too and wrote in context on what a true Christian is. Hmmm).

Where does it say they struggled with salvation?

For you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light (Ephesians 5:8 NASB)

Why did Paul tell them what they used to be in darkness? Why did Paul then tell them that they are light? Why did he say what they formerly were and then state what they presently are? Why did he instruct them to then walk in the light? Could it be that the church of Ephesus had believers struggling with whether they are saved? Most definitely! The participle “formerly” Greek transliteration is pote po-te' which means once, aforetime, formerly or at some time. Paul is telling the struggling Ephesians they used to be in darkness (sinful lifestyle, under the ruler or darkness, NOT SAVED) and now they are Light in the Lord (under rulership of Jesus Christ). He is telling them plainly they are saved; now walk like you are children that are saved. He used a similar expression in Galatians which described his former life:

For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it: And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers. But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, (Galatians 1:13-15)

So what’s the solution?

Let me first say to anyone who is involved with or knows someone struggling with their salvation, BE VERY GENTLE. Don’t be that forceful religious nut. Many of these Christians have been burned by bad doctrine and bad theology. The Bryant’s, Jakes, Price’s, Dollar’s and Word Network has really bruised them. Some have been on a rollocoaster of religious beliefs. We have to apply God’s word for the healing these wonderful people. A hug, and a brotherly kiss, comfort and genuine care really can show them how to walk in LOVE. That is the solution, that is what will give them confidence in knowing they are of the Lord Jesus Christ. Applying the Word “walk”, they’ll see they are children of the Most High God. Do you realize that Christ had given them the answer in Ephesians 5? Let’s look for that word walk:

Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. (Ephesians 5:1-2)
For ye were sometimesdarkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
(Ephesians 5:8)
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, (Ephesians 5:15)

In the Greek transliteration the word walk is peripateo per-ee-pat-eh'-o. This means to walk, to make one's way, progress; to make due use of opportunities. We must continuously progress in opportunities to do good to others. What? Yes to follow after the Lord Jesus Christ, builds our confidence in knowing that we are saved. Lets flip it for a minute to explain this. When you are struggling with sins that you committed, the not-saved thinking sometimes comes when you base your Christianity on these sins committed. You become confident that you’re not-saved because of that sinful action. To make even plainer, what happens when you walk towards a burning building? It gets hotter, yes, you feel hotter, yes. Why? Because your focus/sight is in the direction of the burning building you’re walking towards. Now what would happen if you turn around and walked the other way? It would get cooler wouldn’t it? Exactly. Why? Your sight is in the direction of where you’re walking. Truly only a Christian can truly repent and walk in the direction towards God. This direction is through confessing sin (1 John 1:9), walking by faith (2 Corinthians 5:7) and doing good to all (Galatians 6:9-10, Philippians 2:13, 1 Peter 3:11, Romans 12:9-21, 1 Thessalonians 5:15). Walk in this way, O my brethren who struggle, and you’ll see that you’re saved and filled with God’s Spirit.

Give, love, and put others first, as Christ within you works, and you’ll see that you are saved. Remember this and you’ll understand this scripture:

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: (Philippians 1:6)

Final Words

I want to encourage you who struggle with knowing whether you’re saved or not. Continue do walk in the ways of the Lord Jesus Christ. Continue in your biblical theology, in your exegesis, in your consistent study of the Word of God. YOU ARE SAVED, and Christ is with in. Walk in love, and you will see that Jesus Christ is with you. I understand what you’re going through, I leave you with these words:

I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake. I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father. I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life. These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him. (1 John 2:12-29)

Don't make Obama your god!

I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; (Exodus 20:2-5)

Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am the LORD your God.
(Leviticus 19:4)

Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put the stumblingblock of their iniquity before their face: should I be enquired of at all by them? (Ezekiel 14:3)
Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen. (1 John 5:21)

I plead with you Americans, and especially African-Americans not to make Barack Obama your god. This is not a good thing in the eyesight of the Lord Jesus Christ. I love Barak Obama as a man, but he is not my god. I will not shed a tear over the things he is promising to do, but I will weep for the sin of this country which has turned its back on the Lord Jesus Christ. I am writing this post because I received this e-mail from a beloved African-American Christian sister. I love her zeal for God, but I weep for her love for Barak Obama and his family. Here’s the e-mail below:

Family & Friends,
Trust me, you will find the attached enlightening and informative. I must admit I never thought of Sen. Obama's ascending to the “White House” in this vein. INTERESTING!

Why white America perhaps fears Michelle more than Barack. Excerpts from a 'Jack & Jill politics' newsletter: ...as hard as it is to accept a black president, it’s even harder to accept a black first lady.
First Lady has always held a beloved sentimental mother/wife of the nation symbolism. Conservatives are not ready to have to look at this very BLACK woman with her degrees and her fierceness and see her as the epitome of the American mother/wife.
This will be a first for white people. They do not want this black woman in the Whitehouse as their first lady. That New Yorker cartoon was actually about Michelle - she was its focal point…..look closely... She is the leader, the one starting the “revolution” they want you to imagine. MSN BC’s Chris Matthews said, in the course of covering the Obama candidacy, 'He (Barack Obama) brings none of the ‘bad stuff, you know?” By ‘Bad Stuff’, he meant the legacy of [whites] enslaving Africans in this country, keeping them as second-class citizens until 1965, a mere 11 years before this country celebrated its 200th anniversary. You know, ‘the original sin’, or ‘the birth defect’, as Condi Rice called it.
Barack escapes this 'bad stuff' only because his mother was white and may have had ancestors involved in the slave trade; and also because Barack's father was not African American. He was full blooded African and therefore Barack had no ancestors enslaved by America - and so the white guilt factor is missing when they think of Him. HOWEVER, NO SUCH LUCK WITH MICHELLE! Michelle Obama is a direct threat and lightening bolt against White Superiority. Because, she’s Black… VISIBLY BLACK… But it's important to note, she does not, in any way, shape, or form, contour to the acceptable Black Pathologies that enable White Supremacy to sigh with relief. [welfare mother, fatherless child, druggie, etc.] Michelle was raised in a neighborhood. In a home With TWO parents. No child revolving in and out of jail. Raised by a Black man who not only provided for his family, but did so, WITH A DISABILITY. Her mother had a working class job - secretary- but it was taken ONLY after she had seen her youngest child settle into HIGH SCHOOL. Michelle Obama’s poise, her confidence, her aura - that was created by that humble Black man, who by all accounts, adored her. He told her that she is worthy, and so, when you have that told to you by the first man who loves and protects you, you seek that validation of that in your choice of mate, you’ll settle for nothing less, and Michelle hasn’t.
Michelle Obama, doesn’t fit any of the acceptable Black pathologies. And when you don’t fit the acceptable Black pathologies, then you must be destroyed. Michelle Obama has become the face of the Black America whose existence is routinely denied by this country. Think about it. In ONE generation, the face of this 'Invisible America' has gone from living on the top floor of a bungalow, to the possibility of living in The White House. And yet, Michelle Obama, refuses to say " I’m special”, in order to give white America its usual security blanket [that she is one of the exceptions rather than the rule], So what should be done? Beat her down into submission. Michelle Obama represents everything we black women want our daughters to be. When we stand up for her we stand up for ourselves. No other women in the world are more neglected and abused as African women period. Michelle looks like [our] daughters, her daughters look like us. We love the way Barack looks at her we adore the way he looks at his daughters. The Obamas represent the hope that we can be loved by our men and they will support us in whatever we do. Little African American girls need a vision and Dream of what it is like to be loved by a man who looks just like them. Is America ready for a First Lady who looks like her? A regular black woman? Not a passable biracial curly haired girl that they call black, but a regular black woman from the south side of Chicago ? With dark skin? Is she going to be the face of The Woman on the largest pedestal in the country? A self-confessed "loud-mouth” black woman? If the Obamas succeed, it turns white supremacy upside down. And not because a black man is in the White House; but, because a black woman will be there who didn’t have to come in the back door to lie in bed with the president.

Black people please understand that America is sinful. We are not a righteous nation with a heart after the Lord Jesus Christ. In fact this economy is not failing because of a simple oversight, it is failing because of sin: GREED. Barak Obama cannot do a thing to bring salvation to the black man, or any of the American people. The Lord Jesus Christ put it best:
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)

Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:10-12)

There is no other way. There is not a black way, a white way, a any color way, Christ Jesus our Lord is the only way. Putting a black man in office is not going to stop white supremacy. In fact it may fuel it even more. Hatred of such sort is sin; it is not from the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Barack Obama is not God. He is not the Savior. He will (I say this with confidence) not save nor fix any of the problems that are plaguing this country. Our minds need to turn unto the Lord Jesus Christ, the One that sits at the Right Hand of the Father!

Do not hold Obama or any political figure over our God. This is idolatry. I cry when I see Christians wearing T-Shirts pledging their support to a man they know not. Yes, he can talk real well, and is very intellectual. But he is not God Almighty. The Lord is opposed to such things. When cry tears and fall out because Obama said something so beautiful, is the Lord smiling. Let’s see:

Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD. (Jeremiah 9:23-24)

Do you see any joy in God when we give men the praise? No, so stop praising Obama, and even McCain. They have done no wonderous works. Don’t make man your god, my friends!!!!!

And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them. And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man. And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost. But the word of God grew and multiplied. And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, when they had fulfilled their ministry, and took with them John, whose surname was Mark. (Acts 12:21-25)

The Lord Jesus Christ can save!!!!!!

HT: Passion For Christ Movement

For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
(Romans 5:6-9)
