Death of His Saints

With all that has been going on with my mother, and my family etc, I had no idea what was going to happen next. Watching the inauguration on television as 2 million people worshiped Barak Obama, I received a phone call from a friend of mine saying a co-worker of mine passed away. This was a wonderful Christian, and it did not take me by surprise. I began to smile because a joy filled my heart for this Christian brother's passing.

Today, I attended his funeral, and you know, he looked so peaceful. As I approached his casket, I was filled with joy. I began to smile knowing that Jesus Christ was rejoicing. This brother was faithfully to studying the bible, as he was the first Christian I met to rebuke me. I am thankful that he is sleep, and God is pleased to. How do I know. I leave you with this simple to understand verses of scripture:

O LORD, I am your servant; I am your servant, the son of your maidservant. You have loosed my bonds. (Psalms 116:16 ESV)

From oppression and violence he redeems their life, and precious is their blood in his sight.
(Psalms 72:14 ESV)

Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory." "O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?" The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. (1 Corinthians 15:51-58 ESV)
