Question Series: Dancing

Now before I get labeled a child of the devil for the video, let me first present this scenario to you. You are at the wedding of a Christian friend. And the dancing time comes. Should you get up and dance?

Is it a Godly thing to dance at or wedding? I know of people who would leave this type of environment. I know some who would stay and dance. (Okay, I'll admit, I get up and dance to certain line dances. Am I still a Christian now?) That's not the point anyways. With God's Word being looked at, is a Christian to be dancing at a wedding? Is it okay for a Christian to dance certain so-called "safe dances" like the Electric Slide or the Cupid Shuffle? Is this sin or not? Grab the scriptures and let's answer this one. God bless

Sound Doctrine

Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.
(Titus 1:9)

Sola Scripture, the scripture alone is our sound doctrine of the Lord Jesus Christ. Not a pastor, a prophet, or so called apostle can give you pure doctrine like the Word of God, the bible.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17)

As you will see in my links below, try to stick with teachers who give you the Word straight from the Word. Better yet do what was advised to our brother in Christ Timothy:

Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15)
