DAILY DIFFERENCE DEVOTION 05/03/2010

But He answered and said, "It is written, 'MAN SHALL NOT LIVE ON BREAD ALONE, BUT ON EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD.'" (Matthew 4:4 NASB)

LIVING ON THE WORD

We are faced with many temptations. I think we all can agree that we are living in the last times.  These times are perilous (2 Timothy 3:1), and tragically many are falling victim to the lust calls of the world.  To be a Christian in this generation in the United States causes some true believers to wonder will this generation survive the next years to come.  There is hope, but that hope rest in the Word of God, the bible.

If you are not a bible lover, I suggest you began to study to show yourself approved (2 Timothy 2:15).  These times are not calling on being light on the word; in fact a young believer now needs to rest in the Word of God.

In the text above, Jesus Christ was being tempted by the devil.  He passed through this temptation process by trusting in His Word.  The quotation of scripture He used was from Deuteronomy 8:3.  Each temptation attempted by the devil, Jesus Christ stayed close to the Word.  We must live the same in order to pass through this generation.

As the United States crumbles, stay focused, living intently on the Word of God.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. (Matthew 7:21-27)
