The video I am posting up comes along with a testimony, that I will share with you guys. Let me introduce to you Nye and Kiley Hammer. Nye and Kiley are good friends of mine and fellow brethren in the Lord Jesus Christ. We also attend the same church, Hope Bible Church. They are wonderful examples of Christ Jesus love (if you remember a video I did awhile back asking for prayer for a young teenage girl, the Hammer's were heavily involved in loving her). Anyways Kiley was pregnant around the same time my wife was. Then one afternoon, our family got a call from a friend saying that Kiley's baby had died in the womb. I called Nye and he told me things had not really hit him yet. He was taking his wife to the hospital to find out about their daughter. A day later Kiley was called to the hospital to deliver her child; still birth. As your probably thinking, this is truly tragic; especially you mothers who have children can strongly relate or think of the emotional pain going through their minds.
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (2 Corinthians 12:9-10 ESV)
Well, when Nye and Kiley got to the hospital, they were filled with joy. It was said that Kiley spent two hours sharing Christ with one of the hospital workers. This nurse in particular had a similar trial as Kiley and had walked away from the 'church'. She also was not a normal employee at that particular hospital, and didn't want to work the shift Nye and Kiley came in on. Yet she was unable to get out of working that shift. After seeing Kiley's joy in Christ, she came to know that God was trying to get her attention. Nye said "if God allowed this to happen for that nurse...then it was well worth it!" Through the whole matter they gave glory to God throughout the whole ordeal. There were many other things the Lord Jesus did but I wanted to share this specifically. I will testify that Christ truly works mightily in believers during times of trouble and he did with my friends. When they could have been walking around sad, they were completely looking for ways to please God. Now in no way am I saying Christians don't grieve, because they do. Christians glorify Christ, in trial and tribulation. Praise be to the Lord, enjoy the video.
