Don't be deceived,even by e-mail

I received the advertisement above and the e-mail below into my inbox. Dr. Miles Munroe’s advertisement came from a streaming faith account that I no longer use. My friend sent the e-mail below to me as reference point to Easter. I posted them here to show the mess can come straight to your inbox. Can you notice the deception in the e-mail story below?

Below is a heartening report of Gods intervention in an Islamic family
Muslim man in Egypt killed his wife and then buried her with their infant baby and 8-year old daughter. The girls were buried alive! He then reported to the police that an uncle killed the kids. 15 days later, another family member died. When they went to bury him, they found the 2 little girls under the sand - ALIVE !

The country is outraged over the incident, and the man will be executed. The older girl was asked how she had survived. "A man wearing shiny white clothes, with bleeding wounds in his hands, came every day to feed us. He woke up my mom so she could nurse my sister," she said. She was interviewed on Egyptian national TV, by a veiled Muslim woman news anchor. She said on public TV, "This was none other than Jesus, because nobody else does things like this!"

Muslims believe Isa (Jesus) would do this, but the wounds mean He really was crucified, and it's clear also that He is alive! But, it's also clear that the child could not make up a story like this, and there is no way these children could have survived without a true miracle. Muslim leaders are going to have a hard time to figure out what to do with this, and the popularity of the Passion movie doesn't help! With Egypt at the centre of the media and education in the Middle East, you can be sure this story will spread.

Now looking at this, it sounds so believable. I mean, what’s wrong with this, the Muslims are believing in Jesus in Egypt? Amazingly enough, www.snopes.com exposed the lie here, and their not even a Christian website. How did they see this and some proclaiming Christians cannot? I got into a debate with my friend over believing this mess and he still doesn’t see it.
First thing we must note is the e-mail has a purpose to lead the believer away from the Word of God, the scriptures. The idea is for you to spread this story to other people, while drawing them to look for these kind of stories instead of Gospel accountl. I am not saying that giving a e-mail to someone cannot aid in evangelism, but the Gospel message comes from the scripture by the Holy Spirit. This is e-mail is just a story, and a lie at that. And most of them are.
Open you bibles and let’s investigate why this story is a lie:

1Thessalonians 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

1John 4:1-3 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

We need to test everything that comes to us with scripture first. Find out if this article lines up with the bible. Ask questions against the scripture because the scriptures teach that the disciples ask Jesus Christ questions (Peter was famous for this). Such questions should be like:

Does the bible teach that a person can be woke from the dead, nurse her child, and then die after finished? (You’ll find no documented account of this in scripture. In John 11:43-44, Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, Christ did it publicly so all could see that He was God. The e-mail’s account claims to happened in a disclosed location.)

Why was Jesus hands bleeding? (scripture (John 20:19-31) teaches that when He appeared to the disciples He showed them His hands, and His side. There’s no mention of bleeding. Why? His blood had been shed already, so why is Jesus bleeding in this? Mark 14:24-25)

Why is the Passion movie made popular and not the scripture being preached (which is not popular)? (Because that’s what they want you to trust in, the Passion movie, not the Lord Jesus Christ testified in Holy Bible!)

How did they hear of the Gospel in Egypt? (Not mentioned)(Romans 10:14)

What are the names of the people involved? (see all that is listed is man, girl, woman. When Christ healed, the people knew who was healed or it was made know to everyone. Look at John 9, it makes it very clear. And when the man did not know, Jesus Christ made it known that He did it. Why did not Christ appear and let us know it is Him nursing the child and keeping them alive.)

As you can see, a little dipping into the Word of God and you’ll see such a story is not true. Here’s some scripture as well to think on about whether these things are true:

1Corinthians 15:8
And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.

1John 4:12-16 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

2Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

Galatians 1:8-9 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Look my beloved, we cannot look to these things as “God moving!” Christ is coming back in the same way He left the disciples. These deceiving e-mails are lies sent to lead you away from God’s Word.

Another thing you can do as well is to do searches to see if this stuff has even had been reported nationwide. If Jesus Christ does something of that nature, guaranteed it will be reported on the big news channels. But what is being reported of Christianity today?:

2Peter 2:2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

The news reports are reporting the foolishness happening around in our churches. Let me show you what a true Christian is experiencing in this world:

If you receive something in your inbox about that, you best believe that Christ is doing something! I’ll leave you with the scripture that we must take heed to:

Luke 13:23-30 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out. And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God. And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.
